I-0431: Specification Of Explicitly Specified Requirements

TYPE: NIAP Interpretation
NUMBER: I-0431
STATUS: Withdrawn
REASON: We've decided that our notation isn't exactly the best
after all, so we should withdraw this one.

TITLE: Specification Of Explicitly Specified Requirements

SOURCE REFERENCE: CC v2.1 Part 1 Subclause B.2.6
                      CC v2.1 Part 1 Subclause C.2.6
RELATED TO: <None>

ISSUE:

The Common Criteria does not provide any recommended notions of how to express explicitly specified requirements, other than stating that the notation used in the CC be used as a model.

STATEMENT

The notation model developed by the IWG is a good model to use for explicitly specified requirements or for the specification of interpretations.

SUPPORT:

This corrects the problem identified in the issue statement.
