The Windows Assurance Activity for FPT_AEX_EXT.1.3 requires the evaluator to configure the latest version of Microsoft's Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) to protect the application. However, EMET will not be supported or operable on Windows versions that are released after Windows Server 2016 and Windows 10 version 1703.

The Assurance Activity for FPT_AEX_EXT.1.3 for Windows is updated as follows:

For Windows: For Windows 7 through Windows 10 version 1607, the evaluator shall configure the latest version of Microsoft's Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET) to protect the application. The evaluator shall then run the application and verify that the application does not crash while protected by EMET. For Windows 10 version 1703 or later,  the evaluator shall run the application on Windows, without changing any of the default security settings,  and verify the application can successfully run, as EMET is no longer supported on newer versions.
