Test 1 and 2 of FDP_IFF.1.5 cannot be performed for a TOE that is a software application such as a softphone. An unregistered softphone does not have any state other than “unregistered”.

Tests 1 and 2 for FDP_IFF.1.5 in the VVoIP EP shall be replaced with the following:

Tests (conditional - physical TOE)

• Test 1: The evaluator shall place the TOE into the on-hook state without registering it to the ESC. The evaluator shall use the sniffer to verify that the TOE does not transmit any streaming media traffic.
• Test 2: The evaluator shall repeat Test 1 above with the following additional step: The evaluator shall place the TOE into the off-hook state and use the sniffer to verify that the TOE does not transmit any streaming media traffic.

Tests (conditional - software application TOE)

• Test 1: The evaluator shall execute the VVoIP application without registering it to the ESC.  The evaluator shall use the sniffer to verify that the TOE does not transmit any streaming media traffic.
• Test 2: The evaluator shall repeat Test 1 above with the following additional step: The evaluator shall place the TOE into the off-hook state (e.g., by performing a call without specifying any destination data).  The evaluator shall use the sniffer to verify that the TOE does not transmit any streaming media traffic.
