The Trust Technology Assessment Program (TTAP) was an NSA-sponsored evaluation program that was used by sponsors of IT product evaluations during the transition to the NIAP Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS). TTAP was discontinued in November 2000 when the NIAP CCEVS became fully operational. Common Criteria evaluations conducted by TTAP laboratories are grandfathered into the NIAP CCEVS Validated Products List (VPL). If TTAP laboratories wish to continue conducting Common Criteria evaluations, they must become NIAP-approved Common Criteria Testing Laboratories in accordance with the requirements of the NIAP CCEVS.
