The Target of Evaluation (TOE) is 3eTI AirGuard Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Access Systems that consists of the following 3e-525N, 3e-525N MP, 3e-525NV, 3e-523N, and 3e-523NR Access Points.
\r\nThe TOE provides the connection point between wireless clients and the wired network. Once installed as trusted nodes on the wired infrastructure, the TOE provides the encryption service protecting the wireless traffic exchange between itself and the wireless clients.
The evaluation was carried out in accordance with the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS) processes and procedures. The TOE was evaluated against the criteria contained in the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation, Version 3.1 R4.
\r\nThe evaluation methodology used by the evaluation team to conduct the evaluation is the Common Methodology for Information Technology Security Evaluation, Version 3.1 R4.
\r\nCygnaCom Solutions has determined that the product meets the security criteria in the Security Target, which specifies compliance with U.S. Government Protection Profile for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) Access Systems v1.0, December 1, 2011.
\r\nA team of validators, on behalf of the CCEVS Validation Body, monitored the evaluation. The evaluation was completed July 2015.

\r\n3eTI’s OpenSSL Library serves as the sole user application level cryptographic library. All user level applications, such as HTTPS/TLS Web UI, Wireless LAN Control Application and IPsec SA Authentication Process use this library.
\r\nThe FreeScale MPC8378E cryptographic core within the TOE provides cryptographic function for the Linux kernel drivers. Wireless client data encryption/decryption functions are provided by this engine. IPsec ESP data encryption/decryption using AES-CBC with SHS or AES-GCM is provided by this engine as well.
