Los Altos Technologies UniShred Pro ® Version 3.3.1 (UniShred Pro ®) provides the capabilities to securely overwrite all existing information residing on either a disk or disk partition. This product is more robust than utility overwrite programs, which often erase only the pointer to a file, and provides the means to permanently erase information that should not be recovered. In addition, the overwrite methods and patterns provided by the product conform to various United States Government regulations.
\r\nLos Altos Technologies UniShred Pro ® Version 3.3.1 provides a verifying capability that tests for successful completion of overwriting a partition or disk. There is also a reporting capability to track the status and outcome of the various process steps. The reports that are generated, are displayed on-screen, can be archived to a file, or printed at a later time.

\r\nIn addition to these defined operating systems, Los Altos Technologies UniShred Pro ® Version 3.3.1 also can be operated from a self-bootable floppy disk using a hardened version of GNU Linux from any Intel platform PC.
