There are inconsistencies between FCS_WPA_EXT.1 and its application note/evaluation activities.

The application note for FCS_WPA_EXT.1 in MOD_WLANC_V1.0 is modified as follows:

Application Note: The WLAN client can support connecting to networks of other security types (e.g., open); however, those will not be tested as part of this evaluation and FMT_SMF.1 will ensure that the client can be configured to only connect to WPA3 and, if selected WPA2, networkscan be configured.

The evaluation activities for FCS_WPA_EXT.1 in MOD_WLANC_V1.0-SD are modified as follows:

Guidance

The evaluator shall ensure that the AGD contains guidance on how to configure the WLAN client to disable connecting to networks other thatsupporting WPA3 and, if selected, WPA2.

Tests

The evaluator shall configure a Wi-Fi network that utilizes WPA3 and verify that the client can connect. The evaluator shall then modify the network so that it utilizes WPA and verifies that the WLAN client does not connect to the network. The same test shall be repeated for WPA2 if it is selected.

FCS_WPA_EXT.1 only requires support for specific versions, but does not impose limitations.
